fishing for the future

Fishing for the future

Fishing for the future is important because
There will be no more fish, first I’ll tell you about boat safety.

Water safety is important because 291 people
have died in 2017 because of not wearing a life jacket ,
life jackets help you keep a float when the boat crashes

Now i’ll talk about the fish

When you catch a fish  make sure
when you pick up the fish you use a  wet towel so the fish
doesn't lose its protective coating the protective
coating acts like sunscreen
otherwise the fish will burn and die, if you don’t have
a wet towel make sure that your fingers are wet

Another thing about the fishing is that
you use salt water ice. You need salt water
ice because it helps keep it fresh, normal ice on the
other hand makes the fish go of

Also when you catch a fish you have to measure
the fish From the tip of the nose to the middle of the tail
with a Fish ruler eg snapper has to be 30cm if it
is to small let it go, if it  is to big let it go.

Next up seabirds

Did you know More than 10,000
seabirds caught by commercial fishermen
since 2013 the most common seabirds to be caught
ver petrels albatrosses.  Out of 9,000 bird species
worldwide, only 360 are seabirds. Of these, 86 breed in
New Zealand and nine breed in other places but
visit New Zealand each year. A number of other species
visit from time to time. New Zealand's
seabirds include
penguins, albatrosses,
petrels, shags, prions, gannets and skuas.
